About Us
The Seekonk Lions Club was established in October 1958 and we are one of the many clubs in District 33S. We are part of the world’s largest service organization – Lions Clubs International, which was founded in 1917.
We, as all Lions Clubs worldwide are bound by the rule that 100% of all funds raised from the public must go back to the public. All of our administrative expenses are covered by funds that come from members. This premise of giving 100% to the community is an aspect of our history that we are very proud to continue.
We invite you to browse our pages and should you wish to find out more about our club, please do not hesitate to contact our President, Dana Heberlein, at president@seekonklions.org
Eyeglass collection program
Like many Lions clubs, the Seekonk Lions maintain an eyeglass collection site where people may drop off their eyeglasses which may no longer be of use. These glasses are collected and processed and eventually become available for use by the needy. Our drop off station is at the Seekonk Library on Newman Ave in Seekonk. Look for our eyeglass collection box.
